It was a Wonderful Christmas, but lockdown blues for 2021

We knew it was coming - we know it needed to happen and we are really thankful we were in Tier Three and got to stay open up to Christmas - but having our fledging bookshop now in lockdown is heartbreaking, frustrating and frankly worrying - not just for the business, but for everyone impacted by the devastating effects of the pandemic. We can only look to the future and wish the best for everyone’s health and wellbeing.

So, its online sales, click (knock) and collect, home deliveries and hoping all those lovely people who cheered us on and supported us when we opened continue to do so in our time of need.. And they have!!! We love this town and it’s support of local business and ventures; it was one of the reasons we moved here. A strong community spirit and the Transition Towns movement. The vibe we felt wasn’t all talk - it’s real and it might just save us - thank you again to the people of Totnes and all our friends, near and far who have supported us online, or have waited patiently at the shop door waiting for our card reader to connect to the internet. We look forward to welcoming you all back into our shop as soon as possible.
