Welcome to the South Devon Bookshop Crawl

We are four independent bookshops, easily accessible from the A38 between Exeter and Plymouth in South Devon that have come together again to organise a Bookshop Crawl.

The Bookshop Crawl takes place from Friday 11th September and finishes on Bookshop Day 2026 - Saturday 10th October

Hey booklovers, four of your favourite indie bookshops in South Devon are throwing a Bookshop Crawl and you're invited...

Visit all the participating bookshops, presenting your card for a stamp between September 11th and Bookshop Day, Saturday October 10th to claim a limited-edition tote bag designed and illustrated by *Ashwin Chacko.

*The Ashwin Chacko bags are limited, so while every effort has been made to ensure we have sufficient stock, in the event that stock has run out a similar alternative will be offered.

Each bookshop will be able to provide you with a Bookshop Crawl card to stamp when you visit. Exchange your complete card for a fantastic tote bag *T&Cs apply

First Draft Books, The East Gate Bookshop, The Rowan Tree Bookshop and The Ivybridge Bookshop all look forward to seeing you, stamping your card and celebrating the wonderful and diverse bookshops, just off the A38 for the Great South Devon Bookshop Crawl.

The Great South Devon Bookshop Crawl: terms and conditions.

  • Cards to stamp are available from any of the four participating bookshops and each bookshop will have its own stamp

  • No purchase is necessary to obtain a stamp - just present your card to stamp at each store.

  • Obtaining all four stamps will qualify for a tote bag. The Ashwin Chacko bags are limited, so while every effort has been made to ensure sufficient stock, in the event that stock has run out a similar alternative will be offered.

  • The South Devon Book Crawl will begin on September 11th and end on Bookshop Day, which is October 10th. Anyone presenting a fully stamped card between those days will qualify for a tote bag under the terms and conditions as described.

  • Only one card can be completed per person and the tote bag cannot be exchanged for anything of similar value.
