Wilderfest

At the begining of July we loaded up a van and headed off to Derek Gow’s Rewilding Coombeshead as the invited bookshop at this exciting festival of rewilding, regeneration, and vision for a wilder world.
There were fantastic authors, all of whom gave brilliant and motivating talks. It was fun, it was friendly, and we met some amazing people doing vital work for the restoration of nature.
Luckily for us lots of those people were enthusiastic book buyers and, also helped by being opposite the lunch gazebo (buffalo burger anyone?). Our shop was buzzing the whole weekend.

We were too busy to take any tours of the wilded areas. We are hoping to make another visit, without the shop later in the year…

It was hard work, but well worth it and great to take our bookshop on tour.

Once we’ve recovered from sleeping in a tent (it had been a while) we really enjoyed ourselves and are looking to going touring again soon.
A huge shout out goes to Derek for inviting us, and for his tireless and inspirational work for nature. Also, all the authors and people who pitched up to make the event such a great success.

There is a precis of the day here with all the speakers and contributors. We are already planning our Restoring Nature again at Lower Sharpham Farm in spring 2023 and have teamed-up with The Bull Inn and The Albatross in Totnes for a series of Wild Book Talks coming soon…

Hats off to the great practitioners and writers, doing so much for the natural world
